Working as a core member of our team in Poland, you will lead and deliver power systems analysis consultancy projects for our clients. You will provide expert analysis and advice relating to, but not limited to, electrical design and power system analysis studies.
What will you be doing?
- Work as a power systems studies lead within OWC.
- Represent OWC and ABL Group as a key domain expert, sharing knowledge and experience to support the wider development of competencies within OWC to enhance overall assignment execution to clients.
- Generate business opportunities related to power systems studies. This may include representing OWC at conferences, seminars and meetings to establish business development leads and to market OWC to prospective clients.
- Follow up on leads to generate new work and independently prepare tenders and proposals.
- Work with multi-discipline teams of engineers (and other technical staff) in the completion of the assignments for innovative clients.
- Identify and communicate relevant technological developments or regulatory changes which may impact the business or provide new opportunities.
- Contribute to the skills and knowledge development of engineers contributing to power system studies work.
- Keep projects on budget and on schedule.
- Attend regular internal meetings and external / third party meetings as required.
- Ensure all deliverables are conducted in full compliance with approved instructions, procedures and policies.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, you will be an experienced Electrical Engineer with proven experience of working on high voltage power system studies, grid connections and grid code projects. A background of working on renewable energy projects is beneficial but not essential. More specifically, we are looking for the following things:
- Educated to master’s degree level in Electrical or Power Engineering with at least 8 - 10 years' worth of experience.
- Expertise in performing studies such as load flow, short circuit, harmonics, electromagnetic transient analysis and dynamic ride through analysis.
- Knowledge of grid code and technical compliance and grid connection processes and technical & commercial arrangements.
- Proven expertise with DIgSILENT PowerFactory and PSCAD.
- Programming skills in Python (or similar) to automate simulations.
- Technical knowledge and experience of offshore wind farms / renewable energy projects.
- Fluent in both Polish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Involvement in professional groups like CIGRE is a plus.
- Experience in the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects is desirable.
- Experience with large-scale renewables integration studies is beneficial.
- Experience of consulting, advising or designing renewable energy projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with Matlab / Simulink, ETAP, or PSS/E is desirable.

This position can be based at either our offices in Gdansk or Warszawa. We offer hybrid working. You must have the right to live and work in Poland.
Occasional travel to client sites and meetings will be required.
