Working as a core member of our team in Poland, you will contribute to a diverse range of tasks such as Marine Warranty Surveys (MWS) or Owners’ Engineering (OE) covering areas such as load-out, transportation and installation of fixed platforms, floating units, wind turbines, subsea structures, foundations, pipelines, cables and other project cargoes. Additionally, you will also help to grow and develop our business in Poland. 

What will you be doing?

• Produce consultancy and engineering deliverables for specific assignments & support project delivery to clients.
• Conduct site attendances mainly in Poland and Europe for project meetings and marine operations (onshore / offshore).
• Ensure that the projects are delivered in accordance with the client contract requirements and timely invoicing.
• Ensure projects meet our client’s requirements and classification rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all deliverables are carried out in accordance with ABL Group’s policies and procedures.
• Assist the project team with document reviews and checks using spreadsheets and hand calculations. This could include reviewing procedures and calculations for vessel surveys, load-out, sea transportation and offshore installations.
• Support the generation of bid proposals and grow the network of local clients.
• Promote QHSE related activities and ensure compliance to all ABL Group company QHSE policies, procedures, work systems and regulations.

What are we looking for?

Ideally, you will possess proven experience of working on transport and installation projects in the Oil & Gas or Renewables sectors. More specifically, we are looking for the following:

• Degree level qualification in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years’ worth of relevant professional experience. 
• In depth knowledge of industry standards and codes and the ability to apply such standards to MWS related work.
• Proven ability to undertake structural analysis of marine and / or offshore structures.
• Fluent in English and Polish. 
• Chartered status is desirable. 

Further Information:

This position will be based at our office in Gdansk, Poland. You must have the right to live and work in Poland.

You will be required to undertake client visits, offshore or onshore, at short notice.
