Join us as a Regional Director – Facilities and Subsea Engineering (APAC), initially based in Kuala Lumpur & Singapore, However, we would consider applications from other APAC locations - Shanghai, Tianjin, Bangkok, Jakarta, Perth, or Ho Chi Minh, where you can shape strategy, build client relationships, and oversee the successful execution of projects across multiple disciplines.

What will you be doing?
As Regional Director – Facilities and Subsea Engineering (APAC), you will lead the growth and delivery of our Facilities and Subsea Design & Engineering services across the region. This strategic role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and project delivery to drive regional success and business expansion. In addition, key responsibilities covering all aspects from management to technical, training, and general duties:
Management
- Develop and deliver the regional business strategy in line with global and regional leadership goals.
- Manage budgets, revenue forecasts, and project resources to ensure successful delivery.
- Plan future workload, support recruitment needs, and coordinate with other regional and business line leaders.
- Lead tendering and proposal strategies, oversee pricing, and approve bids as per authority limits.
- Monitor project performance, including profitability, invoicing, and cash flow, with support from finance.
- Identify R&D opportunities and oversee their development with relevant sector and discipline leaders.
Marketing / Business Development / Sales
- Create sales and marketing plans in collaboration with the marketing team and develop relevant materials.
- Lead all business development activities, including identifying opportunities and engaging with new clients.
- Support the preparation of proposals, tender submissions, and manage client relationships.
Training
- Identify training needs within the business line and support delivery with discipline leads.
- Promote continuous professional development for yourself and others across the team.
- Work with the wider group to align on broader training opportunities and initiatives
HSEQ
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and business line standards.
- Oversee safe and quality delivery of projects, working closely with discipline leads
- Ensure field staff follow HSE procedures and all activities comply with the company’s HSEQ system.
Technical Role
- Carry out technical consultancy and chargeable project work when needed.
- Take on project director or project manager roles as required.
- Help develop new technical skills and maintain existing ones in line with business needs.
General
- Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all activities.
- Support other business line leaders during busy periods or when they’re on leave.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support wider business goals.
The role will be office–based, initially based in Kuala Lumpur & Singapore, However, we would consider applications from other APAC locations - Shanghai, Tianjin, Bangkok, Jakarta, Perth, or Ho Chi Minh. The role may require travel to the client offices, venues, sites or other premises in the country and within the region.
Willing to travel for business development and to undertake work in overseas locations from time to time
What are we looking for?
Ideally, a driven and solution-oriented professional with sound technical skills and good decision-making capabilities. The successful candidates will have good communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership ability, and be able to deal effectively with multiple issues and assignments simultaneously. In addition, you will:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with strong technical knowledge of projects in the business line.
- 15+ years of experience, including 7+ years in leading teams, delivering projects, and managing budgets and profitability.
- Proven ability to win new work, manage client relationships, and convert opportunities into successful projects.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, able to handle complexity, pressure, and diverse stakeholder needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in motivating teams and working across disciplines.
- Commercially minded, well-organized, and confident navigating contracts, priorities, and business challenges.
- Fluent in English with advanced MS Office skills and a proactive, customer-focused, and collaborative approach.
