As part of our continued growth, we are looking to hire a Maritime Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality surveying services across a diverse range of maritime operations, while helping us expand and strengthen our presence in your region.
What will you be doing?
- Attend maritime casualties to determine the nature, extent, and cause of damage.
- Estimate repair costs and compile comprehensive reports for clients.
- Conduct marine warranty surveys both onshore and offshore.
- Assist in promoting ABL Maritime services to existing and prospective clients.
- Maintain personal chargeable utilisation above 60%.
- Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful reports aligned with client and project expectations.
- Stay familiar with all ABL Maritime services and deliverables.
- Be ready to undertake other duties as assigned to support our mission and operations.
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a confident, technically skilled maritime professional who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master Mariner, Marine Engineer, or equivalent qualification with significant maritime consultancy experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in maritime surveying or consultancy.
- Strong track record in casualty assessment and marine warranty surveying.
Technical Skills & Competencies:
- Exceptional decision-making, analytical thinking, and technical reporting abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Commercially aware, with strong business acumen and a professional, proactive mindset.
- Comfortable with flexible working hours and open to travel (including offshore assignments).
