We are currently looking for a Summer Intern to join OWC (an ABL Group company), supporting both our Geotechnical Engineering and Project Advisory service lines during a 2-month internship based in our London office.
What will you be doing?
As our Summer Intern, you will gain valuable, hands-on experience across two of OWC’s key service lines. The role will be split into two 4-week placements—one with the Geotechnical Engineering team and one with the Project Advisory team—providing you with a diverse and well-rounded introduction to the renewable energy industry.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Full-time commitment to a 2-month summer internship.
- Assist in the preparation of deliverables for internal projects.
- Carry out assessments and calculations in support of geotechnical engineering tasks.
- Support the development of tools and outputs for project advisory work.
- Attend meetings alongside your manager and assist with follow-up tasks.
- Liaise with cross-functional team members to support a variety of tasks and initiatives.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual with a passion for engineering and renewables. You are an undergraduate or recent graduate who is eager to explore how technical and strategic disciplines work together to deliver impactful projects in the energy transition space.
More specifically, we are looking for the following:
- Awareness and interest in technical problem-solving and data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high numerical accuracy.
- Proactive, well-organized, and self-directed mindset.
Further Information:
- This is an office-based role located in London, England.
- The internship is full-time (minimum of 8 hours/day, Monday to Friday).
- Flexible working hours are available upon request and approval.
- You must have the right to live and work in the UK.
