Working as a core member of our team in Egypt, you will lead concept, feed and detailed design projects for our clients in the offshore energy and maritime sectors. Our projects include assignments such as the conceptual design of a pipeline, the design of a jacket, or vessel conversion projects.

What will you be doing?

• Contribute to business development by preparing proposals for bids and tenders. 
• Plan & execute work scopes including deliverables and schedule manpower resources. Oversee progress and deliverables for assigned projects.
• Supervise or prepare engineering design calculations and analysis for projects in accordance with international codes and standards.
• Undertake and lead assigned engineers and drafting personnel to complete projects as per agreed deliverables. 
• Undertake, lead and perform concept and detailed design analysis of various structures.
• Attend regular internal meetings and external third-party meetings as required.
• Develop and maintain the budget for engineering including control of changes.
• Ensure all engineering deliverables are carried out in accordance with ABL Group policies and procedures.
• Participate in design reviews, audits and engineering related reviews. Evaluate and prepares concept selection reports and basis for design
• Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and motivation to subordinates and provide training to personnel new to the ABL Group & Engineering related analyses and design.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Promote QHSE related activities within all operations and ensure compliance to all applicable company QHSE policies and procedures.

What are we looking for?

Ideally, you will have experience managing multi-discipline teams working on concept, FEED, and detailed design projects. This could be in the maritime or offshore energy sectors. More specifically, we are looking for the following:

• Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline. 
• Project Management qualification such as PMP or AMP. 
• In depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes.               
• Consultancy experience. 
• Knowledge of offshore / marine structural / mechanical engineering analysis and design computer programs.
• Fluent in English.

Further Information:

This position will be based at our office in Cairo.  

You must have the right to live and work in Egypt.  

You could be required to attend either onshore or offshore meetings with clients.
