About the Role

OWC, an ABL Group company, is seeking an experienced and driven Principal EIA Consultant for the delivery of complex, high-profile environmental and EIA projects across global markets. This is a senior role, ideal for someone with deep technical expertise, commercial acumen, and a passion for driving innovation in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the delivery of multidisciplinary environmental projects, particularly in offshore wind, transmission infrastructure, and broader energy transition initiatives.
  • Review and deliver reports, consent management and compliance, supporting our clients through complex environmental and consent challenges. 
  • Manage multi-disciplinary project teams and ensure high-quality outcomes that meet regulatory and client expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to position OWC as a trusted EIA delivery partner.
  • Build and nurture client relationships, identify new business opportunities and leverage networks to contribute to business development and sales.
  • Support strategic growth by contributing to service development, staff capability planning, and business development initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a solution orientated, self-motivated Principal EIA Consultant with a strong track record in delivering complex offshore and major infrastructure projects. You’ll be a confident communicator and natural collaborator, and thrive in a dynamic environment, combining technical excellence with commercial awareness and a flair for building lasting client relationships. If you’re proactive, self-motivated, and passionate about shaping the future of sustainable infrastructure, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for someone with:

  • A degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related STEM discipline
  • 10+ years’ experience managing and delivering EIA projects, ideally in renewables or marine infrastructure
  • Proven leadership in project and portfolio management
  • Deep understanding of renewable project lifecycles and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills
