We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Designer to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for offshore design and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
What will you be doing?
As a Structural Designer, you work within a team of engineers and provide drafting support to any of business lines in the region and will be responsible for the execution of projects as assigned. In addition you will also:
- Support the Engineers to undertake detailed design and design co-ordination of works
- Support the Engineers in the day-to-day liaison with the Client, Client’s Consultants, Contractors, and the Design Checker to obtain approval of design and drawings.
- Work across disciplines as required
- Ensure all drawings adhere to Client, Industry and Company Standards.
- Attend regular internal meetings and external / third party meetings as required.
- Participate in drawings-related reviews and audits.
- And other duties as assigned.
- Always comply with the company QHSE policies, manuals, procedures, work systems and regulations at ABL premises, projects and client sites.
The position will be based in Cebu, Philippines and you must have the right to live and work in Philippines. Flexibility in working hours may be required. Onsite attendance and client interaction are part of the role.
What are we looking for?
To excel in this position, you will be a seasoned designer with demonstrable hands-on experience in the shipbuilding and offshore engineering sectors. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) is essential. Additionally, you will bring:
- Diploma in Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D & 3D).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Familiar with Adobe PDF tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high numerical accuracy.
- Results-oriented with a strong client focus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; a proactive and collaborative team player.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Create design drawing and 3D model
- Inventor, Rhino, E3D
- Sense of ownership of work
