We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural Designer (AVEVA E3D) to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for offshore design and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
What will you be doing?
As a Structural Designer (AVEVA E3D), you will work within a team of engineers focused on technical drafting/modelling structures in the marine, offshore, and broader renewable energy spaces. This will include preparation of 2D and 3D drafting using AVEVA, Inventor and AutoCAD. In addition, you will also:
The scope of this role includes the following:
- Developing structure 3D models using AVEVA Hull / E3D, generating design documentation, and collaborating with other engineers
- Prepare design in 2D drawing and material take off using AVEVA E3D.
- Deep understanding of the software's features, capabilities, and best practices.
- Understand the design requirements from clients and various rules.
- Expert using AutoCAD, experience in Inventor, and Rhino are advantages.
- Actively participate in growing and sharing knowledge within the Group
- Continuously grow, learn, and maintain a base of knowledge and skills relevant to the Group’s business
- Always comply with the company QHSE policies, manuals, procedures, work systems and regulations at ABL premises, projects and client sites.

The position will be based in Cebu, Philippines, and you must have the right to live and work in the Philippines. The role is office-based; however, the current policy in our Cebu office allows employees to work certain days from home, provided employees have reliable/stable high-speed connectivity and a suitable workstation at home.
What are we looking for?
To excel in this position, you will be an experienced and professional designer with demonstrable hands-on experience in the shipbuilding and offshore engineering sectors. Proficiency in Aveva E3D & AutoCAD (2D & 3D) is essential. Additionally, you will bring:
- Degree-level qualification in engineering or similar technical studies.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English and adapt to the audience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience using AVEVA, Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience performing ship design (concept through detail engineering) and structural design of ships and other marine and offshore structures.
- Experience serving in a QA/QC (drawing checking) function.
- Highly proficient in Aveva E3D.
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Certificates demonstrating competency in AVEVA E3D, Rhino, Inventor, and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience and familiarity with the preparation of storyboards and other documents related to marine/offshore transportation and installation projects, e.g., sea fastening design.
- Experience with structural design for asset mobilisations, e.g., for submarine cable laying/repair operations.
- Experience with design of piping, mechanical, and/or E&I.
- Proficiency in Inventor.
- Proficiency in Aveva E3D.
- Proficiency in Rhino.
- Basic structural engineering (analysis) capability, preferably both by hand/spreadsheet and by finite element analysis, e.g., FEMAP.
