We are looking for a Senior Subsea Engineer to join our team who will lead MWS reviews, carryout reviews, project management and coordination of MWS projects, oversee a team of engineers and be responsible for the planning, verifying, execution and delivery of projects and marine warranty and engineering consultancy scopes associated with subsea assets in offshore projects
What will you be doing?
As a Senior Subsea Engineer, you will:
- Lead MWS scopes, including project management, technical reviews, client meetings, and site surveys both onshore and offshore.
- Supervise and contribute to subsea engineering design, calculations, and analysis in accordance with international codes and standards.
- Manage projects to deliver optimal solutions within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure all deliverables meet ABL’s quality and HSE standards.
- Perform concept and detailed design and analysis for loadout, transportation, and installation of offshore subsea assets.
- Maintain responsibility for subsea integrity, forecasting, change management, and scheduling.
- Participate in design reviews, audits, and engineering evaluations.
- Support business development through proposal preparation and client engagement.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
- Attend internal and external meetings as required.
What are we looking for?
We’re seeking a highly experienced subsea engineer with strong technical expertise and leadership capabilities. You should have:
- A degree in Naval Architecture or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
- Membership in the Society of Marine Warranty Surveyors (SOMWS) is desirable.
- A master’s degree or postgraduate diploma in subsea engineering is a plus.
- At least 7 years of professional experience in subsea engineering.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes such as DNV-ST-N001, API/AISC, ISO, and IMO.
- Expertise in loadout, transportation, and installation of subsea structures, pipelines, risers, spools, umbilicals, and equipment.
- Prior MWS experience and hands-on offshore field engineering experience.
- Familiarity with vessel inspection protocols and modularization projects in the oil and gas industry.
This role is primarily office-based but includes onshore and offshore site attendance and client interaction. You must have the legal right to work and reside in the country of employment. Willingness to travel at short notice for assignments locally or globally is essential.
