We are currently seeking a highly motivated Engineering Intern to join our dynamic team. If you have a passion for offshore design and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.
What will you be doing?
As an Engineering intern, you will be responsible for assisting Engineers on projects and tasks in and related to their core discipline. In addition, you will also:
- Advocate for our clients’ interests
- Involve in engineering Projects, including review of project engineering documents, schedules, planning of engineer’s site attendance, and monitoring project operations
- Support the Manager as required in day-to-day management activities
- Ensure all deliverables is carried out in accordance with ABL policies and procedures
- Participate in engineering-related reviews and audits
- Assist with document control and project administration
- Assist with project proposals development
- Comply with Longitude and ABL Group internal policies, procedures, and guidelines including the HSEQ system analyses
- Cooperate with and support the ABL/Longitude and broader ABL/Longitude teams locally and globally
- Continuously grow, learn, and maintain a base of knowledge and skills relevant to Longitude clients
- Other duties as assigned
Potential Project:
- The project during the internship will be to support the oil & gas and renewable energy transition and
- possibly also support clients’ projects related to assets across the marine, offshore, and energy sectors
- and through all stages of project/asset lifecycles.
The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and you must have the right to live and work in Philippines.
What are we looking for?
To apply for this position, you will bring:
- Applicants in their third year of study on an Engineering degree course in any of the following engineering disciplines – Chemical, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Proficiency in applying engineering knowledge to a wide array of contexts
- Strong communication skills, with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, including engineers, contract managers, and QHSE personnel.
Desirable:
- Prior work experience / internship in an engineering, industrial or consulting company, or any other practical work experience, would be an advantage.
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly with analysis in Microsoft Excel.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
